In July of 2009, Mercedes, Camila, Mateo, Carla and I returned to Colombia for a year. Some events I photographed was the yearly Yipao Jeep parade to celebrate Armenia's birthday, and the International Orchid Exhibition.
In June of 2006, Mercedes, Camila and I returned to Colombia for the first time in three years. We visited their family and I took lots of nature photos!
In July of 2002 Mercedes and I flew from Armenia, Colombia to Ottawa so she could finally meet my family and see where I was from. We had to pass through Cuba to avoid the mess of aquiring a US transit visa. As a result, we had 24 hours in Havana which I took advantage of to snap some photos. Enjoy!
Once again the Indian subcontinent
succeeded in attracting me! In January 2001 I headed off for four and a half
more months of exploration in India
and Nepal. After my last visit I felt there was a whole lot more to see
and even now, I don't feel I have yet to do it justice. There are still things
to do and places to see. Check out my newest journal
and photos!
In August of 1997 I started my new teaching job in Armenia, Colombia.
I have had a chance during periods of vacation to visit other parts of Colombia
as well as Ecuador and Peru
including the Galapagos islands.
One of my more unique and horrible experiences was living (and not dying) through
the Armenia
earthquake of January 25th, 1999.
In February of 1996 I packed my bags and headed off to South-east Asia for six
months. I first spent some time travelling in Nepal
before heading south into India.
In India I spent most of
three months volunteering at Child
Haven International, a home for children. I then headed south for a week
before returning to Singapore, my hub and branch-off point. My last month was
spent on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia.
You can read my journal, The
Singapore Circuit, of these travels.
